Do you love the library and want to learn even more? During this four week series, we will focus on a different aspect of libraries each session. Sign up for just one topic that interests you or sign up for them all!

  • July 3rd: Scavenger Hunt

Do you wonder how we create the fun scavenger hunts we put up in the library? Learn and help create our August scavenger hunt!

  • July 10: Storytime/Reading to Children

Learn how we plan storytimes and our tips for reading aloud to children.  Then pick some crowd pleasing books and practice with us! We will host a special storytime and/or reading buddies activity in September planned and delivered with your help.

  • July 17: Children's Book Display

Learn how and why we display books in the library, then help us create the next Children's nonfiction book display!

  • July 24: Planning Library Programs

Do you wonder how we come up with special programs like Police Storytimes? How do we come up with the ideas? Who do we need to work with to make them happen? Bring your own ideas for library programs and let's brainstorm.

Open to kids who will be in fourth, fifth or sixth grade when school resumes. Space is limited and registration is required. Please call the Bay Farm Library at (510) 747-7787 to sign up.
